Our Story

On June 27, 2023, a seemingly ordinary swipe set an extraordinary love story in motion.
Thedencia swiped right on Vincent for one simple reason: his profile said he loved dad jokes (okay, the muscles helped too) — a bold claim considering there wasn’t a hint of humor in his photo. What followed was unexpected. A casual match turned into nightly phone calls, despite Vince insisting he didn’t talk much. Somehow, those calls stretched into three-hour conversations almost every day as two strangers realized they spoke the same language.

When it was time to meet in person, Thedencia drove to Houston, and from the moment they met, the chemistry was undeniable. Conversation flowed easily as they bonded over movies and discovered they were already finishing each other’s sentences.

Their first real adventure together came during Urban Camp Weekend, where laughter came easy, friendships formed naturally, and their connection deepened. Not long after, in a moment straight out of a script — while Vincent was in surgery and heavily medicated — he asked Thedencia to be his woman. Even under anesthesia, his intention was clear and unwavering… and truthfully, she already knew he was her man — she was just waiting for him to figure it out.

As time passed, they learned what it truly means to be both friends and lovers, growing into best friends and even better partners in life.
In August 2024, Vince planned the proposal of a lifetime during Thedencia’s line sisters’ birthday cruise. A storm redirected the original Dominican Republic plan, but fate had other ideas. Instead, on a quiet pier in the Bahamas, Vince asked Thedencia to spend forever with him — proving that even when the rain came down, love still came through.
